 William E. Ostrander, 75, of Chula Vista, born in Twin Falls, Idaho, graduated from Twin Falls HS, and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from University of Idaho, Beta Theta Pi fraternity. William (Qstie) was a retired USN Commander serving active duty in Korea, Vietnam (five deployments) as Naval Aviator aboard the Kearsage, Hornet, Kitty Hawk and also attached to the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon. In retirement, he owned and operated Ostrander Construction Company and was 35-year member of Southbay Pioneers serving on Boards of Director and Trustees. Survivors include wife Martie, son Mark, granddaughters Cheyne and Grace, nephew Robert of Arizona, and niece Carly Bosile of Idaho. He was preceded in death by brother Robert, parents William and Hazel Ostrander of Idaho. Inurnment: Buried at sea on Friday, June 11, 2010.
